With the exception of 3 local jurisdictions, Baltimore City, Prince George's County and Charles County, the Division is responsible for licensure and inspection of all food processing facilities. This work is conducted under the authority of the Annotated Code of Maryland, Health-General, Title 21, Subtitles 1, 2, 3, and 12, and the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR's) 10.15.01, 10.15.02, 10.15.04, 10.15.07, and 10.15.10. The Division also conducts FDA contract and seafood HACCP inspections in all jurisdictions and participates in joint enforcement actions.
